PBN Broadcasting Network, Inc., or simply PBN, began operations in 1958 as a cable-type station affectionately known as "Radyo Balagon\" under the banner of Bicol Wire Broadcasting System (BWBS) in Legazpi City, founded by Mr. Jorge D. Bayona at a time when Legazpi City and the entire province of Albay had never heard of radio.
